Destiny & the Fateful Final Chapter of Sher Shah
Fate has a way of striking when you least expect it — sometimes to lift you from the ashes, other times to snuff you out in a blaze. This is the final chapter of a man who rose from near nothingness to rule an empire... only to be undone by one cruel twist. His greatest ambition lay just within reach. But destiny had other plans. One cannonball. One explosion. And a lifetime of brilliance left that one duty — the most important of all — heartbreakingly unfulfilled.

Smoke and dust shoot up as the cannonball blasts into the rampart. It inflicts little damage, though. Medieval artillery is more bark, less bite. Its slow advance against the robust bastions surprises none. Least of all the seasoned general who, although eyeing the Kalinjar fortress with lustfully calm imperialism, slowly grows restless from within.
Despite astronomical capability, despite lofty achievements, the aging Sher Shah knows his time will soon end. Better fortify the empire to leave some vantage for his weak and wobbly sons. Located strategically at the crossroads of military and trade routes between the Gangetic plain and central India, the Kalinjar fort is doing what it does best: blocking the southward juggernaut of another Delhi monarch. Taking the fort is a necessity.
Alas, destiny has other plans. They are brutal. And hit without warning!
Rebounding from the fort bulwarks, the cannon ball crashes into the ammunition depot right next to where the mounted general is marshalling his forces from. For once, his horse sense, built over a lifetime of battle and intrigue, deserts him. Hell, even his horse doesn’t see this coming!
This time, the cannon ball wreaks explosive damage. Tossing up in flames the life and times of a fascinating historical character who has clawed his way to the top from near-bottom with a cunning mix of force and finesse.
Meant for the fort, the cannon ball turns into the perfect double-edged dagger.
Fickle are the whims of fate!
